Brief introduction of NFC technology

- Dec 04, 2018-

Near-field communication (NFC), also known as short-range wireless communication, is a short-range high-frequency wireless communication technology, which allows non-contact point-to-point data transmission and data exchange between electronic devices. The technology evolved from contactless RFID (RFID) and was developed by Philips and Sony on the basis of RFID and interconnection technology. Near-field communication is a short-distance high-frequency radio technology that runs within 20 cm of 13.56MHz frequency. Its transmission speed is 106 Kbit/ seconds, 212 Kbit/ seconds or 424 Kbit/ seconds.

The near field communication (NFC) service combines the near field communication technology and the mobile communication technology, realizes the electronic payment, the identity authentication, the ticketing, the data exchange, the anti-counterfeiting, the advertisement and so on many kinds of functions, is one kind of new service in the mobile communication domain. Near-field communication service has changed the way that users use mobile phones, and made their consumption behavior become electronic step by step. A new type of consumer consumption and business mode has been established.

The application of (NFC) technology has been paid more and more attention in the world. Different roles such as telecom operators and mobile phone manufacturers at home and abroad have carried out application pilot projects. Some international association organizations also actively promote standardization work. According to industry related organizations, mobile phone application based on near field communication technology will become the next killer application of mobile value-added service. Also, with the development of industrial automation and commercial automation, more and more industrial panel pc products are willing to integrate with this NFC technology in future.
