Industry 4.0 concept

The so-called industrial 4.0, is a division based on different stages of industrial development. According to the current consensus, Industrial 1.0 is the age of steam engines, Industrial 2.0 is the age of electrification, and industry 3.0 is the age of information. Industry 4.0 is the era of using information technology to promote industrial transformation, is the era of intelligence. 

This concept was first introduced in Germany, officially launched at Hannover Messe in April 2013, the core purpose of which is to improve the competitiveness of German industry, Take the lead in the new industrial revolution. 

Industry 4.0 is one of the ten future projects proposed by the German Government in Germany's 2020 High Technology Strategy. The project is jointly funded by the Federal Agency for Education and Research and the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, with an estimated investment of 200 million euros. It aims to enhance the intelligence of manufacturing industry, build intelligent factories with adaptability, resource efficiency and genetic engineering, and integrate customers and business partners in business processes and value processes. Its technical foundation is the network entity system and the Internet of things. 

Germany's so-called fourth generation of industry (Industry4.0) refers to the use of Cyber-Physical System information system (CPS for short) to supply, manufacture and sell information in production digitalized, intelligent, and finally to achieve rapid, effective, personalized product supply. 

"made in China 2025" and Germany's "Industrial 4.0" cooperation has a long history of docking. In April 2013, the German government officially launched the "Industry 4.0" strategy. In May 2015, the State Council officially issued "made in China 2025", deployment to promote the implementation of the strategy of manufacturing power. 

Industry 4.0 has entered a new era of Sino-German cooperation. In the Sino-German Cooperation platform for Action signed by China and Germany, there are four articles concerning industrial 4.0 cooperation, The first point is that the digitization of industrial production is of great significance to the economic development of China and Germany in the future. The two sides agreed that the two governments should provide policy support for the participation of enterprises in the process.
