From 2016 to 2018, China's 5G basic R&D test is divided into three phases. The first phase is the 5G correlation technology test, the second phase is the 5G technology solution verification, and the third phase is the 5G system verification.
China launched the 5G technology test in January 2016. In order to ensure the smooth development of the experimental work, the IMT-2020 (5G) promotion team planned to build a 5G field in 30 stations in Huairou, Beijing. After the completion of the 5G Phase II trial, the Phase III trial will be launched by the end of 2017 or early 2018; the first standard version of 5G is expected to be completed by June 2018, and the full version will be completed by September 2019. And it is expected to achieve large-scale commercial use by 2020.
In the face of the third phase of the test, in order to cooperate and further enrich the scenario, China plans to conduct more experiments in six cities in the future, including the combination of 5G technology and smart city core planning to help the construction of smart cities; Promote dual innovation, and make full use of 5G technology in industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing.
