From the power supply, the normal industrial computer power supply is different from the ordinary power supply, which uses resistance, capacitance and coil to resist impact and anti-interference. The load capacity of embedded pc is much larger, and there are larger inductance coils in embedded pc power supply.
There are obvious differences in the structure of the inside. Ordinary computers generally have only one motherboard, with standard configuration components such as CPU slots, memory slots, and other standard configuration components. Others, such as independent graphics cards, are inserted on the expansion slots on the main board. Now, most of them are PCI slots. The embedded computer, on the other hand, has a larger motherboard, also known as the passive backboard, which has not many integrated circuits, but only more expansion slots. The motherboard with the CPU is inserted in a special slot on the motherboard. Other expansion boards should also be inserted on the motherboard, not on the motherboard. The advantage of this is that the motherboard can better screen out the outside interference, because the working situation of the industrial control computer is sometimes bad, and there is more interference, so that the motherboard can work more reliably. Large motherboards also make it easier to extend other plug-ins. This gives designers more options when developing systems, regardless of whether there is room to drop them.
At present, the application forms of embedded computer are as follows: software and hardware of industrial computer, software and hardware of expansion card, software and hardware of industrial motherboard (extension card), software and hardware of industrial motherboard industrial backboard (extension card), etc. In the current application mode, the industrial control computer is not without a substitute, but the delivery time and demand of the industrial control computer does not meet the economic requirements. The delivery time is determined by the technology accumulation of the industrial computer manufacturer, and the demand is the decisive factor to determine the economy.
In the future, the application form of embedded pc may be as follows: standard GIC standard interface module custom-made software and hardware, customer independent R & D of hardware and software including embedded pc. The change is mainly determined by two factors: first, CPU manufacturers provide a complete set of hardware and software development systems, which do not require the participation of industrial computer manufacturers. Second, I / O interface is highly standardized and cloud computing technology is mature in industrial applications.
